Niklas Wandt is a Berlin-based percussionist, producer, DJ, and radio host whose eclectic sets—most often heard at basement hub Sameheads—span hypnotic, percussive grooves from cosmic downtempo and Balearic rhythms to tribal house, trance, and warped techno. His deep rhythmic sensibility stems from a background in drums and projects across hip-hop, psychedelic rock, and free jazz, roots that continue to shape his high-energy yet fluid approach.

Wandt’s collaborations include the acclaimed Instrumentalmusik von der Mitte der World with Jan Schulte (Wolf Müller/Bufiman) on Growing Bin Records, releases with Neuzeitliche Bodenbeläge, and work alongside Sascha Funke and Retromigration. His music has appeared on labels like Bureau B, Permanent Vacation, Animals Dancing, and Love on the Rocks, with performances stretching from Europe to the Americas and beyond.

Also a journalist and broadcaster, Niklas contributes to WDR 3, SWR Kultur, and Deutschlandfunk, where his radio work earned him the Deutscher Jazzpreis in 2025.
