Inspired by the EP’s subtle drama and atmosphere, the collective reshaped these songs into warm tributes to their poetic Lithuanian lyrics and emotional core.

A decade ago, Break Mode and Kitchen DJ formed Renegade Sunset, crafting hazy edits that became early artifacts of the Bed of Roses universe. Now remastered and reissued via Edit Factory, they return from the archive alongside a new four-on-the-floor rework of Liar’s “The Other Side of Mt. Heart Attack” by Break Mode.

Curated for the late-blooming, ugly duckling disco dollies, this seven-track collection veers through busted club experiments, mutant techno, and haunted house heaters.

Each artist pushes dance music into strange, unconventional terrain — unafraid to embrace the peculiar, the abrasive, and sometimes even the ugly.

Mix Series



Goodbye Mirage is the project of Czech musician and writer Martin Kuška. Rooted in immersive soundscapes, his work draws from 1980s and 1990s independent music, early trance and progressive sounds, and a deeply personal DIY ethos.

For Martin, music is more than entertainment — it is a vessel for emotion, memory, and lived experience. His releases have appeared on Czech label Krmelec, as well as Funnuvojere (with Massimiliano Pagliara), Lithuania’s Electric Shapes, and U.S. labels Sacred Phrases and Origin Peoples.

Beyond music, he is devoted to vintage synthesizers, photography, Chinese and Japanese teas, and is currently preparing his fourth book.

About
Bed of Roses began with a small group of friends in Portland, Oregon in 2012 — artists, musicians, and late-night dreamers who loved to make things and lose themselves in their creations. What started as a few recordings between friends soon grew into something bigger: a label, mix series, party, a family.

After the first releases came the Bed of Roses Mix Series. And then the first party — Club Tropicana — a humid and joy-soaked experiment with a fake tropical foliage decor, and DJs both local and international assisting with vibes. Club Tropicana set the tone for everything that followed. From that night forward, Bed of Roses events, releases, and mix series became the go to for open-eared dancers, deep diggers, and those chasing euphoria through sound.

Over the years they continued to help this imprint evolve as well as stay true to its DIY foundations. Together they’ve built a sound that can embrace genres as well as expand on them, shaped by endless curiosity and the joy of discovery — music made by and for people who are always digging.
Their gatherings swing between gentle and feral. Hazy afternoons like Café del Gumar, where the tempo drifts with the light. And Freak Out! nights that erupt into ecstatic, sweat-drenched abandon. Whether it’s a basement, club, or meeting in a cozy valley in the outskirts of Washington, every Bed of Roses event carries the same pulse — euphoric and inclusive… unpretentious and alive.

The label’s catalog follows the same ethos, bridging Portland’s underground with a growing international circle. Alongside its local artists, Bed of Roses has hosted an array of international DJs — proof that a small community can have a wide ripple.

Bed of Roses isn’t a brand — it’s an ecosystem. A continuum of friends, feelings, and frequencies, rooted in a punk spirit and guided by joy. The sound of people building their own higher state, one night at a time.
